  12.     BACKGROUND
  13.  
  14.       Third-party utilities, such as PC Tools and most Norton 
  15.       utilities, are designed to work directly with Stacker.  
  16.       However, current versions of the Norton utility SAFE FORMAT 
  17.       do not work correctly with Stacker 3.1.  If you use SAFE 
  18.       FORMAT to format floppy disks, they won't be Stacker-aware.

  20.     SOLUTION
  21.  
  22.       Use the MS-DOS FORMAT command to format floppy disks you want 
  23.       to be Stacker 3.1-aware.

  25.                    IMPORTANT
  26.     
  27.         Do NOT use Norton SAFE FORMAT to format a floppy 
  28.         disk you are going to use as your Stacker Startup 
  29.         disk.
